MIDDLE SCHOOL (6TH-8TH GRADE) When your child enters middle school, they will begin to make new friends, find new interests, and will want to start socializing more often. It will be up to you to set rules concerning homework, social activities, and curfews. This is considered the transition time for you and your child. Educational Learning Your child will be learning more advanced math, science, and English skills. This can cause your child to bring home more homework that will have more advanced assignments. In middle school, children will begin to switch classes which means that they will need to have a schedule of assignments and when they will be due.
